Horizon developer has 16 planned projects

Horizon developer Guerrilla Games has sensationally revealed that the studio has at least 16 plans in the works.

So far, we have Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West, and Horizon Call of the Mountain (PSVR2), and we know that a multiplayer game is on the way, but it seems that Guerrilla Games won’t stop there.

When speaking at a keynote in Brighton this week, studio director Jan-Bart van Beek stated that the upcoming multiplayer game is a massive shift, but it is a challenge that the developer is relishing. “Building out a two-player experience is a whole new challenge for the studio,” he said.

What’s more, van Beek said the studio has approximately 16 “plans for the franchise going forward. What that means, remains to be seen. But I highly doubt it’s all related to video games. We know that a Netflix series is on the way and we’ve already had comic book and board game adaptations, so perhaps we can expect more of the same and some entirely new projects. That’s at least my speculation.

Regardless, if you’re a fan of the Horizon series, there should be exciting times ahead. I just wish that Guerrilla Games would give us a new Killzone game.
