Insomniac Games confirms Miles Morales is future of Spider-Man series

When the first Marvel’s Spider-Man was released for PlayStation 4 in 2018, it quickly became one of Sony’s leading video game franchises.

The original Spider-Man title from Insomniac Games featured the traditional Peter Parker as the main playable character, but it also co-starred Miles Morales. However, Morales would soon get his own standalone expansion in 2020. What’s more, in this year’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 both characters are playable with the function of being able to switch between the two on the fly.

As for what the future has in store for the PlayStation series, developers Insomniac Games have announced that Miles Morales will be the main protagonist going forward. I won’t go into further details due to spoilers, but be warned, the spoilers will be provided via the links below.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is out now on PlayStation 5.
