Thanks to a recent job listing for Kojima Productions, it has been revealed that Hideo Kojima and his studio Kojima Productions are working on a brand new game.

The news was first teased via a tweet from Ludvig Forssell, composer and audio director at Kojima Productions.  He first sent out a tweet saying “First “COVID recording” this year (for undisclosed project). Super happy with the results!” which this tweet alone got fans excited and thus sparked the speculation.

There was the usual requests of wanting Hideo Kojima to work on the much speculated horror game, something that fans have been very thirsty for even since Kojima’s messy divorce with Konami, which resulted in the cancellation of Silent Hills.  In-fact, despite being cancelled around five years ago, the Playable Teaser, better known as P.T is still talked about today and is the main crutch that keeps Kojima’s Silent Hill speculation alive.

As much as I would love that to happen, without even taking Konami’s treatment towards Kojima into consideration, Konami have proven to not care much about fans in recent years, so I wouldn’t go holding my breath in the hope that Konami will lease out the Silent Hill license to Kojima.

However, following on from the tweet courtesy of Ludvig Forssell, Kojima Productions then sent out a tweet not only advertising for job vacancies at their studio in Tokyo, Japan, but they also confirmed that they are working on a new project.  Though that was the extent of it, as no details were provided.

At this time we have no further information to go by, so unless Kojima Productions have secretly been working on something behind closed doors, I think it’s safe to assume that any release is at least two or three years away.

What do you think or better still, hope that this new project will be?  Let us know across our social media channels.
