Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has gone Gold!

Developers Insomniac Games have announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has gone gold!

In short, it means that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has finished its main stage of development and final preparations will now begin to ensure that the highly anticipated sequel is ready for sale at retail and via the PlayStation Store.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 takes place roughly 10 months after the events of the Miles Morales expansion and will feature both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as playable characters. What’s more, you will also be able to switch seamlessly between both characters on a map that is about twice the size of the original game, now that it has a second island.

Furthermore, the sequel will feature the two villains, Venom and Kraven the Hunter, but Insomniac Games have teased other villains, which may also include the mischievous Mysterio and more.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released exclusively for PlayStation 5 on 20 October 2023.
