Until Dawn Gets New Footage Via The Game Awards

Until Dawn was a surprise announcement at Gamescom. For a long time it looked like vapourware, something that would never see the light of day. Originally starting life as a Playstation Move game many wondered how it would make the transition to normal controls. The answer is to make it control in a similar way to Quick Time Event heavy games like Heavy Rain, Beyond and The Walking Dead.

The latest trailer shows us how a QTE sequence plays out when time is of the essence under an enemy attack and the result is definitely interesting. It premiered at The Game Awards to fairly positive reactions from the crowd, as you can hear on the video. Hopefully it delivers on its promise and creates an intense horror game with easy to pick up controls. If what I played of it at Eurogamer is anything to go by it’s definitely on the right route.
