Nintendo will be adding an “expansion” to the Nintendo Online subscription service for the Nintendo Switch. Seriously, an expansion for an online subscription.

The additional subscription service will add both Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive games. New games will also be added to the library at later dates. However, much like NES and SNES games with NSO, new games will be added at a later date.

The expansion will go live in October; however, Nintendo did not reveal an exact date or pricing. The expansion will be optional, and you can carry on with your standard subscription if you wish.
