It’s no secret that despite eFootball PES 2020 this year making extra efforts in the licensing war with the FIFA series, it still falls way short of EA’s big money spinner.  Thankfully, PES 2020 does have a robust editing feature that lets you edit kits, competitions, badges and so much more.  However, that process can not only be time consuming, but it also requires a high level of talent to make them look truly authentic.

There are a number of talented people that can make the PES series look almost every bit as officially licensed as FIFA and I’m happy to say that one such editor by the name of PESvicioBR (thank you) has done a fantastic job in making PES 2020 truly authentic.  Sadly, this update cannot be done on Xbox One as far as I’m aware, and PC players just have to download from a number of community mods.

However, the PS4 version of PES 2020 can be updated with the official kits, badges and likenesses and the process is very easy.  Below I’m going to give you step by step instructions on how to do this and all in all, the whole process should only take you about 5 minutes, which is far quicker than it used to be with previous iterations.

  • First, on your PS4 go to Settings >Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Delete > eFootball PES 2020 > then delete Edit Data (only).
  • Secondly, download “PESVICIOBR OF PES 2020 V1via this LINK (the file will be called “WEPES”.
  • Now load-up PES 2020, go to Settings > Edit > You’ll be asked to Create Edit Data > Select Yes and wait for the data file to be created.
  • Once done, go to Import/Export > Import Team > Press Square to Select all Files > Then press OK > On the next screen which says “Detailed Settings”, tick both boxes and then press OK.
  • The Importing process will now begin, which should only take a few minutes and then you should have the official kits and team names.

Now it’s time for the competitions and emblems, which is just as easy as importing the updated teams.

  • In the Edit screen, this time select Import Competition and repeat the same steps as before. Again, this will only take a few minutes (if that) and once done, you’ll have all the official kits, badges, competitions and more in your copy of PES 2020.

As a side note, these files will reset the player transfers, so in Settings select Apply Latest Live Update and that will quickly fix player transfers and then you’re good to go.  This custom option file works for every mode in eFootball PES 2020, including Master League and MyClub.

Finally, keep a lookout for our review of eFootball PES 2020 in the coming days.
