According to an alleged leak it seems that a remake of 2010’s Red Dead Redemption is getting a full remake.

Back in 2019 rumours of a remake were first made apparent before they were debunked.  However it seems that the rumours may have been true after all (apparently).

The reports of a leak were made aware to us via Twitter account Gaming Leaks & Rumors where they managed to get a screengrab of an Amazon listing before it was apparently removed by the retailer.

The alleged Red Dead Redemption remake will be created using the same engine as Red Dead Redemption 2 and according to the listing it will be a “faithful, expanded remake” and will feature “new and familiar missions and faces.

However that is not all because according to the leak the Red Dead Redemption remake will be bundled in with a next-gen enhanced version of Red Dead Redemption 2 as part of The Outlaw Collection.

Apparently the next-gen version of RDR2 will feature faster loading times and ray-tracing technology.  It’s also worth noting that the last-gen version of Red Dead Redemption 2 will be backwards compatible on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Red Dead Redemption: The Outlaw Collection has a release date of December 31st, 2020 which is likely to be a placeholder date.

As with all unconfirmed rumours, speculation must be taken with a pinch of salt.  However with The Game Awards taking place next month could Rockstar Games be set to make an official announcement?
