In somewhat of an unexpected piece of news, it seems that Dying Light Platinum Edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.

During the first reveal of Dying Light 2: Stay Human back in May, the Dying Light Platinum Edition was also announced.

The Dying Light Platinum Edition is essentially a re-release of the 2015 game bundled with all previously released expansions, DLC as well as all recent updates ready to go. Dying Light Platinum Edition was initially announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The news of the Dying Light Platinum Edition coming to Nintendo Switch was picked up by Everything Nintendo (via Polish website PPE).

It seems that this version of Dying Light will take advantage of the Nintendo Switch’s unique features, something that other systems cannot offer. Dying Light on the Switch will feature motion controls, gyro aiming, HD rumble, as well as touchscreen controls for menu navigation.

However, the question remains, how will Dying Light Platinum Edition perform on the Nintendo Switch? Only time will tell.

Dying Light Platinum Edition is expected to release for Nintendo Switch this October. This version of the game is already available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Its sequel, Dying Light 2: Stay Human will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on December 7th.
