The creepy yet grotesque first-person sci-fi horror Scorn has been pushed back to October 2022.

Inspired by Alien artist H.R Giger and developed by Ebb Software, Scorn was initially scheduled to release sometime late this year, however, that will no longer be the case. Scorn was first revealed at the Xbox Showcase in 2020 and has received a decent amount of hype for its release.

We’re really pleased to be able to share more news on the game and its release date. Scorn has been a real work of passion for the entire studio,” said Ljubomir Peklar, CEO of Ebb Software. The atmosphere, the journey, and the experience, we want every moment in Scorn to elicit an emotional response and feeling. It is our hope that Scorn stays with players long after they reach its ending. We’re looking forward to sharing more news and updates with our community as we move closer to launch.”

I think most of us probably never expected Scorn to release this year. But if it needs another year to cook in the oven, then so be it. After all, I’m sure the game will be better off for it.

Are you disappointed that Scorn has suffered a big delay? Let us know across our social media channels. According to its Kickstarter, Scorn was supposed to be released in 2018. Scorn will release for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
