Sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon announced
The sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon has been announced during the RGG Summit this week.
Before we move on, SEGA and RGG Studio have dropped the “Yakuza” name and the franchise umbrella will now be known as “Like a Dragon” moving forward.
Like a Dragon 8 will arrive in 2024 for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, and Steam!

Like a Dragon 8 was revealed with a trailer of two mysterious silhouettes walking through the streets of Kamurocho approaching the iconic red Tori Gate. As the two silhouettes get close, we see Ichiban Kasuga alongside the Dragon of Dojima, Kazuma Kiryu. However, Kiryu is kinda looking like a K-Pop reject for some reason.
Just like Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Like a Dragon 8 will once again adopt the turn-based action RPG gameplay mechanic. Unlike the free-flowing combat found in the previous Yakuza games as well as the Judgment series.
This week, it’s been a great week for Yakuza fans. We’ve had the announcement of Like a Dragon: Ishin, a remake of Yakuza: Ishin, a new game starring Kiryu as the lead. The Kiryu game in question is the tongue-twisting Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
Like a Dragon 8 will be released in 2024 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Are you looking forward to the adventures of Ichiban and Kiryu? Let us know across our social media channels.
