Fan-favourite Resident Evil series villain, Albert Wesker has been confirmed in the upcoming RE4 remake.

Of course, for fans of the original Resident Evil 4, this should come as no surprise. After all, much of RE4 shenanigans is down to the ice-cold, sunglasses-wearing supervillain.

News of Wesker’s return was confirmed in an updated IMDB page. However, Wesker will have a new voice actor in the remake. This new version will be voiced by Connor Fogarty, who also voiced the character in the most recent Resident Evil-inspired Dead by Daylight DLC.

Albert Wesker has had various actors portray the character over the years, with the most recent mainline game being DC Douglas in Revelations. In the original RE4, Wesker was voiced by Richard Waugh.

The IMDB page also confirmed that Nick Apostolides will return as Leon S. Kennedy, following the actor portraying the rookie RPD cop in the Resident Evil 2 remake. Ashley Graham will be voiced by Nicole Tompkins, who also played Jill Valentine in the RE3 remake.

Ada Wong will no longer be voiced by Jolene Anderson of the RE2 remake. Instead, Ada will now be played by Lily Gao, who actually played the live-action character in Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.

Luis Sera will be played by Salvador Serrano, which will be the actor’s first role in the Resident Evil series. Finally, Joe Thomas will play President Graham, who reprises his role from the Netflix animation, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.

For now, at least, that’s all the IMDB page is telling us. However, that page will no doubt be updated regularly as we move closer to the launch of the Resident Evil 4 remake.

In related news, Capcom also confirmed that the Island section will return bigger and better in the remake. What’s more, it pretty much also confirms the return of Jack Krauser. Shocking, I know.

The Resident Evil 4 remake has a release date of March 24th, 2023. It will be released for PC, PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series X|S.
