Kung-Fu Panda Sequel Gets More Big Stars.

Today, Dream Works confirmed that Gary Oldman (Commissioner Gordon from Dark Knight) has joined the cast of the second Kung Fu Panda movie titled, “Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom.” Also added into the mix is Michelle Yeoh, Jean-Claude Van Dammme, and Victor Garber.

The original cast(Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, and James Hong) are also making a return to the films sequel, which is set to release on May27th, 2011.

Gary Oldman’s character, a peacock named Lord Shen, will play the villain in this film. Michelle Yeoh will voice a goat named The Soothsayer. Van Damme and Garber will play as two masters, Master Croc, and Master Thundering Rhino.

Producer, Melissa Cobb said of the film:

“In the sequel, Po goes on an amazing personal journey and we are thrilled to have assembled such a talented and well-respected group of actors to bring to life our new characters, who – alongside our returning cast – play such a critical role in Po’s quest and his ultimate triumph over the forces of evil.”
