EA Sports have today unveiled that all Xbox One owners will be available to play up to 6 hours of their upcoming basketball simulator NBA Live 2015 for free. The game will be available to all Xbox One owners 5 days before release, a service which is normally reserved for EA Access members only, which allows you to play the full game and earn achievements.

While the Xbox One owners are able to play 6 hours of the game, PS4 owners will have to make do with a classic match-up which sees the Cleveland Cavaliers going head-to-head against the Oklahoma City Thunder in a “Finals Atmosphere” match.

It seems as though EA are using this to try and promote their Access feature on the Xbox One and also provide many with a decent sample of the new NBA Live title, a series which has stagnated recently. With NBA Live having new platforms to showcase its talents on, the game ultimately failed to deliver against rival NBA 2K14 and didn’t even feel the presence of the once special series. With NBA 2K15 already getting off to a strong start with its release earlier this month, NBA Live 15 will have to do all it can to have players return to the game and offering a vast chunk of gameplay is certainly one way to do it.

The EA Access trail of NBA Live 15 will be released Friday, October 31st.
