Apocalypse Now Videogame Kickstarter Announced

 

Francis Ford Coppola, was without a doubt one of the most intelligent minds in film-making, helping to shape classics such as The Godfather and of course Apocalypse Now, through his gruelling hard work, especially for the latter movie. Now, Coppola along with veteran game developers would like your help in Kickstarting a game based on the Apocalypse Now movie.

 

The game will follow the story of the movie, where players will take on the role of Captain Willard as he embarks on a mission to assassinate the renegade Colonel Kurts. Players will be forced to make gruelling choices and survive with whatever little they have as they make their way through the horrors of the Vietnam War.

 

In my opinion, something as big as this needs a publisher no matter how much we hate them, as they will be able to manage such a colossus project, whose movie itself is infamous for having a very difficult shooting period which gave Martin Sheen a heart attack.

 

 

Furthermore, most people are aware that we already have a good Heart of Darkness game, called Spec Ops: The Line. If you are a fan Apocalypse Now, you owe it to yourself to check this game out, same goes to those who aren’t as it is one of the most important games ever made in my opinion.
