Check out these retro inspired accessories for the Nintendo Switch!

8Bitdo has announced an awesome line of retro inspired accessories that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this September.  All in all, 8Bitdo will be bringing us two SNES inspired controllers, a NES inspired Arcade Stick (which would be great for such forthcoming titles as Pokkén Tournament and the available Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers) and a pair of TwinCube speakers that complement the style of the Switch console perfectly.

All controllers and speakers seen below will have Bluetooth technology, so they’ll be no wires getting in your way.  Even better, all these newly announced products will not only be fully compatible on the Nintendo Switch, but you’ll also be able to use them on your PC, as well as compatible Android and iOS devices.

Firstly, the NES30 Arcade Stick will not only capture the essence of the NES console from the 80’s, but it will also have a “high quality ball-top joystick” and 30mm action buttons to give it that real arcade feel.  It will also come with an optional turbo button, rechargeable lithium-ion battery and the ability to ‘switch’ between D-Pad and Thumbstick controls.

The SFC30 Pro and SNES30 Pro GamePad’s pay homage to their great ancestors that are the Super Famicom and Super Nintendo.  They will have USB-C compatibility, “powerful” vibration feedback, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery as well as having full six-axis and motion control support, making them the perfect companion for your beloved Nintendo Switch console.

Finally we have the TwinCube Bluetooth Stereo Speakers.  These stylish set of speakers match the coloured red and blue Joy-Con controllers with a retro D-Pad design on the top of the devices.  They are said to deliver “crystal-clear audio for gaming, movies and music.”  They will also come equipped with rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and an optional AUX-in connection.  Coming from someone that plays the Switch undocked with my Pro Controller, I’ve always felt that the built in Switch speakers could be better, so this will answer those concerns of mine.

If you’re lucky enough to be attending Gamescom this year, then you can check out all these accessories over at the 8Bitdo stand, located in Hall 4.2 at stand A043.  Otherwise, you’ll be able to purchase them all this coming September.
