At Nintendo Direct last night, we got a couple of surprise announcements to say the least, as it was announced that the awesome Doom reboot will be coming to Nintendo Switch this Fall and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus would also release next year (no solid release date on that one yet).  And as an added bonus, the release date for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim port was revealed with it coming to Nintendo Switch on November 17th.

Doom on the Nintendo Switch will come equipped with not only its singleplayer, but also its multiplayer component, however its creation suite SnapMap was not mentioned, so it’s likely that this feature won’t make the crossover.

The Skyrim port will be amiibo compatible making use of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild range, which will provide you with Link’s tunic, his Hyrule shield and the legendary Master Sword.  Also while it’s a shame that Wolfenstein II won’t make the PC, PS4 and Xbox One October 27th release date, it will be interesting to see how this title (along with Doom) fairs on Nintendo’s portable console, and I can’t wait to see them in action.

With Bethesda showing so much love for the Nintendo Switch, I’m hoping that a Fallout 4 announcement isn’t too far way either.
