Fable Legends is the newest announced addition in the Fable franchise, while not the Fable 4 that people are waiting for, it is a full new game in the series. So far it has been hinted at being an XBox One exclusive, but we will see if they eventually pull the series to other platforms down the line. Just have a look at the fun trailer.

It is designed to be 4 person co-op, and from the sounds of it they are going along the lines of Dungeonland with another player controlling the antagonist throughout the game. You can play the game co-op or alone with AIs controlling the remaining characters.

In the trailer (if you haven’t watched it) that is designed as a theatre backdrop, it looks like the standard class inclusion of Mage, Warrior, Rogue and Archer. Fable Legends will also include the use of Smartglass, which will allow the player to use their tablet or phone with the game. Heroes will play the game in the same view as always, but the Villain will be seeing the map as a top down game board to fully utilise all the tactical play involved. Players will also be able to combine skills (think Guild Wars 2 style if you have played it) where you can create a combo with the skills from separate characters.

Once again set in Albion, the story this time around will centre around an item that children wish upon. Brightlodge will also be in the game and we should also be seeing an appearance from recurring Fable characters.

There is no current release date set, so I would imagine it won’t be a release game for the XBox One. I am curious and look forward to more details of the game.
