Check out this video released by Sony featuring the debut of the new PS Vita Wi-Fi Model. It is planned to be released as part of the Borderlands 2 Limited Edition PlayStation Vita Bundle this Spring.

The new slim model (PCH-2000 series) bundle ships with a copy of Borderlands 2, six DLC packs, and an 8GB PS Vita memory card for $199.99

In addition to it’s new slimmer, lighter design, the PCH-2000 series will feature 1GB of internal memory, a high-def liquid crystal display, and an extra hour of gaming battery life on average (2 extra hours for videos). Which is a nice little bonus!

Borderlands 2 has been ported to make good use of the Vita’s built-in functionality. You’ll be able to zoom and pan on maps using the touch screen, manage your inventory, inspect your items and so on. Using Infrastructure online play you can also team up with up to 3 of your friends. Additionally implemented will be the ability to cross save your progress with your PS3, as well as compatibility with Playstation Now.

This has only been confirmed for the US at this time, with no EU date in sight. So we’ll all have to wait to get our hands on that sleek new Vita design.
