The boys and gals over at MCV have learnt that the major supermarkets are entering the business of selling pre-owned games.

Yep you read that right. When you go and buy your weekly shopping you can now also trade in those unwanted copies of Alien Vs Predator (Review coming soon) for a new shiny title like Final fantasy XIII.

ASDA are only trailing the scheme at its Leeds store at the moment. TESCO began by trialing the offer last year in its Basildon Pitsea store but MCV understands that the trial may since have been rolled out into other outlets.

Not forgetting HMV who have also started taking pre-owned titles last year.
