It has been reported that GAME will not be stocking Capcom’s Street Fighter X Tekken and Asura’s Wrath, despite both due for release in three days.

Excited for Street Fighter X Tekken and Asura’s Wrath and plonked down some pre-order cash at your local GAME? Can’t wait for the next three days? Well too bad as come April 9th you won’t find either titles in any GAME stores.

This was due to better terms with Capcom not being secured, as the sinking ship known as GAME also failed to do this with Nintendo and EA and thus decided not to stock on other anticipated titles, such as Mass Effect 3, Mario Party 9, FIFA Street and The Last Story, the last which was cancelled with one day to go before release. Not stocking Mass Effect 3 will see GAME lose out on potentially millions of profit.

A poor Christmas saw it lose credit insurance with suppliers and despite being given some support by banks, this could end up being just a band aid rather then a long-term solution.

No word has been given on whenever Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, which launches on March 23rd, will be stocked though it goes without saying it wouldn’t be a surprise if it wasn’t.

“Unfortunately Capcom must confirm that Street Fighter x Tekken for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and Asura’s Wrath, both scheduled for release on Friday March 9, will not be stocked by GAME or gamestation either in their retail outlets or on their online stores operating in the UK and Ireland,” a Capcom spokesperson told MCV.

“Capcom wants to reassure its consumers that both these titles, including the Special Edition of Street Fighter X Tekken, will be available at a wide variety of retailers across the UK and Ireland. For those consumers who have already placed a deposit for a pre-order for any of these titles then a full refund will be available – please contact your local GAME or Gamestation shop or visit the online stores.”
