Sundance Festival breakout film “I Love you Phillip Morris” has had one roller coaster month…

Last week it was announced that “Morris” would be delayed indefinitely. This announcement comes after being pushed back two times before. Rumors were flying around that the reason the movie was shelved was because of the gay content. This seemed like the “logical” reason it kept getting delayed, because in every market it tested in, it was met with great turnouts and praise. Because of this content, it’s very possible that it had a hard time finding distributors.

Well good news broke yesterday! “Morris” will see a limited release on July 30th, and expand to more screens on August 6th. It’s possible that when the film got shelved it raised enough interest as to why. The distributors caught notice of this and may have realized that shelving it was a bad idea.

The bottom line is as of now after too long of a delay, we will be able to love “Phillip Morris” as well.

Below is the second trailer. Enjoy!
