Rumours were afloat yesterday, originating from various sources that the Xbox One exclusive Scalebound had been cancelled, only to be confirmed by Microsoft, the publishers behind the game itself earlier today. According to Microsoft:

After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for Scalebound. We’re working hard to deliver an amazing line-up of games to our fans this year, including Halo Wars 2, Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves and other great experiences. Scalebound was to be a fantasy action adventure game that mixed unique fantasy elements with contemporary aesthetics. Fans however were looking forward to the local co-op the most considering its current rarity. Platinum Games (Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance) were the ones developing the game prior to the cancellation, and Scalebound itself was to be an Xbox One exclusive and to Windows 10 also.
