Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Rated by PEGI

May of last year, rumours started to circulate that the 2019 release of Call of Duty will be Modern Warfare 4, this was following rumours that we will also get a Modern Warfare 2 Remastered.  Now as much as I was hyped at the potential of a Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, with it being my favourite game in the series, my excitement took a dent when unlike Modern Warfare Remastered, apparently MW2R would not include its multiplayer component.

As reported by Gematsu, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered has been rated by PEGI in Europe on PS4.  However it seems that PEGI rating has disappeared, but I have no reason to disbelieve the reports.

This listing also adds fuel to the rumour fire that MW2R won’t include its multiplayer; if the game will in-fact have “Campaign Remastered” in its title.  But perhaps thinking more into it then I should, could this mean that we’ll get a “Multiplayer Remastered” as a separate component?  If so, it will likely be sold as a standalone.  But that’s just pure speculation on my part.

Either way, if they do release Modern Warfare 2 Remastered without its awesome multiplayer, then that sucks in my opinion.  Thankfully, I own the original MW2 which is backwards compatible on Xbox One and it still has a quite an active online player base to this day.
