The next big PlayStation 4 exclusive is only a day away with Days Gone from Bend Studio, a post-apocalyptic, zombie infested, survival horror game.  So over on the PlayStation Blog it has been announced that Days Gone will be getting some post-launch content which begins in June via free updates.

Most notably, to join three standard difficulties at launch, Days Gone will soon have a Survival difficulty.  Not only will this difficultly setting make the game more challenging in general, but it will also remove any character perks, fast travel, survival vision, and even the in-game HUD and map indicators.  So you will quite literally need your most cunning survival instincts, to survive.  The Survival difficulty will also offer you the chance to earn extra in-game rewards such a new bike skin, as well as the opportunity to earn additional Trophies.

Additionally from June, a new bike, horde and Combat Challenges will be added to the game.  The Combat Challenges in particular will twist the formula of Days Gone with gameplay tweaks, giving the player a chance of earning new items and rewards.  Specifics on this content will be detailed at a later date.

Are you going to be picking up Days Gone?  Let us know across our social media channels.  Days Gone will release exclusively for PS4 on April 26th.
