Free Virtual Card Album Available for Nintendo 3DS

3DS owners will from today be able to swap and collect a specific collection of virtual cards featuring some of their favourite characters with the free Virtual Card Album, available now. Some cards for this Virtual Card Album are available in 3D and others will feature brand new artwork, meaning that Nintendo fans will have a reason to gather and collect them all!

To start your collection off you will need to go to the Nintendo eShop to get the free card pack, featuring the Virtual Card Album and 5 Cards to set you up! This collection features some of the greatest characters in video gaming history, such as Mario and Sonic, to name a few. Further Virtual Cards will be distributed regularly via SpotPass meaning you will have plenty of cards in your album, so you can begin collecting and swapping with friends!

Duplicate cards are possible, so it may come in handy to gain access to which cards your friends need and then swap with them if they have a card that you need yourself. You can swap through StreetPass and through a Local Connection with your friends.

As with all card collecting there will be the rarer cards and to gain access to some of these you will need to keep your Nintendo 3DS out and about with you to collect Play Coins. These can then be exchanged for some of the rarest cards that are available.

Similarly, some rare cards will become available by visiting designated locations and events so make sure you keep an eye out for announcements as to their whereabouts and that you have your Nintendo 3DS to hand when on the move.
