Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Goes Gold, Pre-Order Incentives & Deluxe Edition Announced

Microsoft Studios has announced that Gears of War: Ultimate Edition has gone Gold, which means that the development has been completed and it’s ready to release for Xbox One on August 28th.  Not only that, but they have also revealed some pre-order incentives and announced a Deluxe Edition of the game.

But that’s not the end of the Gears of War goodness for you, because a video of the opening cinematic has been released, along with a development diary featuring the creators talking of the original game and what drives them to bring us the Ultimate Edition on games 10 year anniversary.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is also available to pre-order and pre-download now from the Xbox One Marketplace and by doing so, you’ll also bag yourself a bonus Adam Fenix and Civilian Anya skins, as well as an Animated Weapon Skin for multiplayer, all at no extra cost with the standard edition (£29.99).

The Deluxe Edition (£44.99) includes all the content within the standard edition, as well as the Deluxe Weapon Skin Pack which includes 10 different Animated Weapon Skins, 36 standard Weapon Skins, as well as the Civilian Marcus Fenix and Aaron Griffin skins for multiplayer use.  Best of all, all the DLC included in either edition will be carried over to Gears of War 4 which releases next year.
