At the beginning of the week some stunning new screenshots were released for PS4’s The Last of Us: Remastered, also during the same time details were also leaked regarding the forthcoming title.  Among the many details, was that TLOU: R would be supported by DLC in the near future, so too would the PS3 version.  At the time it was unclear as to whether that DLC would be singleplayer or multiplayer (though multiplayer was always the likelihood).

Now we have official confirmation that the DLC will be multiplayer focused (sorry to those that wanted the other) and it will be supporting The Last of Us on both the PS3 and PS4 (in fact it will be Cross-Buy).  This was confirmed after Naughty Dog community strategist Arne Meyer spoke to Digital Spy where he revealed that they will “definitely not” be making campaign driven DLC.

Meyer also went on to say “We just wanted to say when we released the Remastered version that we weren’t going to stop supporting both the PS3 and PS4 versions.” And he added “We do have some DLC planned, it’ll be multiplayer focused. We’re not ready to talk about the details yet, but throughout the rest of the year we’ll have some DLC drops.

You can read up on all the recently leaked details for The Last of Us: Remastered and checkout those stunning screenshots here.

The Last of Us: Remastered will release for the PS4 on July 29th in North America and August 1st across Europe.
