The first part of the long-awaited update for GRID Autosport on the Nintendo Switch has finally released that will add new multilayer functions.

While we must wait until 2020 for the online multiplayer, the free update that adds local multiplayer and split-screen is available right now, the next time you fire-up the game with an internet connection.  The local wireless multiplayer will be playable for up-to eight players.

Additionally, as well as online multiplayer arriving next year, further updates will add Labo and wheel support.  This year, GRID was rebooted for PC, PS4 and Xbox One; you can read our review here.
