Without any question, the next Halo for the Xbox One is one of the most highly anticipated games for any of the next generation consoles (or new gen as I like to now call them).  Just yesterday Microsoft sent out an email revealing that the Xbox One console has sold more than 3 million units before the end of 2013 and thanking gamers for an incredible year, they also went on to list some of the games that we can look forward to playing in 2014.

Here’s a snippet from that email:

We’re excited for the year ahead and will be working hard to bring Xbox One to more fans and more markets around the globe. 2014 will be a promising year with many more great games on the way for Xbox One including “Titanfall,” “Watch Dogs,” “Project Spark,” “Sunset Overdrive,” “Tom Clancy’s The Division,” “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” “Destiny,” “Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare,” and “The Elder Scrolls Online,” among others. More games, more features, more content, more fun – all coming your way this year.

As you can see the list above is missing the all mighty Halo, which caused some fans to get a little worried that they will not see their beloved franchise return this year.  But thankfully a tweet from the Senior PR Manager for the Halo and Forza franchises Rob Semsey eased a lot of gamer’s worries by saying:

Xbox Wire today mentioned a few 2014 titles; Halo on Xbox One not listed due to official name of the next title not announced yet.” Then he went on to say “Rest assured your next Halo journey WILL begin in 2014. #staycalm

So there you have it, Halo 5 is all but pretty much confirmed.
