Earlier this week, Capcom revealed the release dates for Resident Evil Remaster, Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4 on the Nintendo Switch, all of which will release on May 21st.  Naturally, being a big Resi fan and Switch owner, I am excited at the prospect of playing some of my favourite games handheld and on the go.  However, I wasn’t so excited for the prices attached to each of these Resi classics, following the release date announcement.

Now bearing in mind that if you pick-up either of these three games digitally on PS4 or Xbox One, they will cost you £15.99 each.  Should you pick them up in a sale, you could quite easily pick all three games up for around £30.

However, to buy all three games for the Nintendo Switch, it will cost you just under £90!  Now that’s one hell of a price difference.  Each game on their own will cost you £29.99 on the Nintendo eShop at launch.  Now I know that it costs Nintendo more to ship games out on the cartridge, which is why multiplatform games tend to be more expensive on the Switch.  But this is digital we’re talking about here, with no added cost of the physical plastic cartridges.

Even for myself, who buys just about every release of my beloved Resident Evil, I can’t justify paying £30 each for these games.  Do these prices put you off and will you wait for a price-drop?  Let us know across our social media channels.
