ToeJam and Earl Rereleases Priced and Dated

Sega have announced that both Toejam and Earl and Toejam and Earl: Panic On Funkotron, two loving embraces of the nineties, will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network in Europe on November 7th.

On PSN, the 2 games will be sold seperately, priced at £3.69 each. On XBLA, they will be bundled as a ‘Vintage Collection’ series game, for 800 Microsoft Points.

As characters, Toejam and Earl were the epitome of cool dudes, rocking shades, backwards baseball caps and high-top sneakers. In the first game of the series, your task was to find the spread out pieces of your rocket ship, travelling up lifts to get to the top and leave where you’ve been stranded, while being left to explore. Certainly best played as a pair, and with some of the funkiest music you’ve ever heard. Panic On Funkotron is a more traditional sidescrolling effort, with glorious animations and annoying kids to beat up. Both are time capsules of the time when being a dude was the coolest, and bodacious was a socially acceptable word.
