Two Point Hospital Gets a 2020 Delay on Consoles

Sega and Two Point Studios have announced that the console version of Two Point Hospital has been delayed.  Originally set to release for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch later this year, Two Point Hospital will now release sometime during the first half of 2020.

I know it sucks, especially for those of us that don’t own a gaming PC, but at least the delay is for the benefit of the game and I can imagine that a transition of a business sim/RTS from PC to console, is not a simple process.

Game Director at Two Point Studios, Mark Webley had this to say on the console delay “Our community have asked for Two Point Hospital on consoles for a while now and we want to make sure we deliver a game that can be enjoyed to the fullest on all platforms”, Webley added “This means we will need a little bit more time to optimise the game to ensure the best possible experience across all platforms.

After reading our review of Two Point Hospital from my good colleague and friend Harris, I’ve been really excited for the console port ever since this version was announced.  So while we have to be a little more patient, you can read our PC review of Two Point Hospital here.

Which console version of the game will you pick-up?  I’ll be picking-up the Nintendo Switch version, so that can play this game on the go.  You can also read more information on the delay via the official Two Point Studios blog post.
