15 Domain Names Registered By Warner Brothers

Now that Mr Nolan has finished his Dark Knight trilogy, there is a huge decision to make on how the reboot will be done. So is this recent spree of domain names Warner Brothers declaring intention to use the Arkham games as the canvas? Personally, with the large amount of villains used, the superb story and the fact that the game sticks much closer to source material, it would make me happier than being able to reach down the internet and kick people using hacks in the junk.

Here is the list of names they registered so far.

  • arkhamuniverse.com (Arkham Universe)
  • batmanarkahmuniverse.com (Batman Arkham Universe)

It’s pretty hard to tell what is actually happening from this. It may be films, it could be more games (yay). It could just be WB reserving more names than the opening week of an MMO.

There is no word yet on the wheres and whys, my money is on games for the moment, I would be very surprised if it was anything to do with the film license. Although being that creativity seems to be at an all time low in the gaming and film industry, it would almost make sense. I mean, why come up with something new when you can just steal something from someone else and slap another price tag on it?

Either way, the Arkham games would make great films if done right (keep Paul W.S. Anderson away please), so what’s your money on? Films? Games? An elaborate office prank? Let us know what you think.
