Brace Yourselves Price(‘s) Skin Is Coming. MW4 This Year Also A Possibility

Infinity Ward’s Facebook page just posted an image of Captain Price, with the subtitle “Brace Yourselves, Price Is Coming”. Now, a lot of fans have been speculating that this might be a new Modern Warfare entry, however, personally to me, it looks unlikely.

First of all, the post was made by Infinity Ward, who made CoD: Ghosts, and not Sledgehammer Games who are doing this year’s Call of Duty. Secondly, the map Price is seen posing against is called Stonehaven, and is featured in Call of Duty: Ghosts. Thirdly, as you all know, the game allows for custom MP characters, we even have Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley available as one. Lastly, as my friend/colleague Daniel pointed out, the hashtag #CoDGhosts was used with the picture post on Twitter.

So it mostly points toward this being a skin only, and not the next Call of Duty MW announcement, as it is too early for them to reveal the next CoD game. However, now there are some interesting speculating going on that Sledgehammer’s game this year will be the next Modern Warfare.

According to Dsogaming, an anonymous tipster has said:

“The game is set in the year 2018 as a direct sequel to Modern Warfare 3 with the game taking place across Europe and Asia. Captain Price and Nikolai are set to make a return as the two main lead characters and will return to their roles in the British SAS. According to our tipster, the SAS will play a major role in the campaign, most likely being the main focus instead of switching all around different soldiers and teams as in previous Modern Warfare installments. Nikolai will also be a playable character at some point in the game and will actually talk, a first for the Call of Duty series, excepting Price.”

It is also said that the main villain of this new Call of Duty title will be Shepherd – apparently he’s not dead – and that there will be a stealth mission taking place in Amsterdam, and another place that will feature a mission will be Shanghai.

So fingers crossed for those of you that would like to see Price return to his badass ways, as I sure will!
