Update: Dead Rising 1 and 2 coming to PS4 and Xbox One, following Trophy leak
Update: 19/07/16: Capcom has officially confirmed that the original Dead Rising will be coming to PlayStation 4, but it will also be coming to Xbox One and PC.
However, that is not all, because Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will also be coming to the new-gen consoles (they’re already available on PC). Capcom stated “Capcom will be bringing Dead Rising to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In addition, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will make their way onto Xbox One and PS4. We will have more news to share soon.“
Hopefully Capcom will confirm release dates very soon.

Original article 18/07/16: Dead Rising 4 is an Xbox One/Windows 10 timed exclusive and won’t be arriving to PS4 until perhaps late next year. With Dead Rising 4 releasing this December, its left many PlayStation owners wondering when they’ll be getting a taste of Frank West and his undead antics once again.
Let’s not forget, that while the original Dead Rising and Dead Rising 3 missed the PlayStation consoles, they have been treated to Dead Rising 2/Dead Rising 2: Off The Record (which was a remake that starred Frank West instead of Chuck Greene). However, it seems that if this PS4 Trophy-List leak is to be believed, we might be getting the original Dead Rising on the new-gen consoles.
The Trophy-List was leaked on Exophase.com, who has a reliable track record when it comes to leaks, as they were the ones that originally leaked that the Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls Collection was coming to PS4.
We don’t know at this time whether it will be a remake or a HD remaster, though I’d go with the latter. But it’s exciting news none the less for those that not only missed the original game due to its console exclusivity on the Xbox 360 in 2006, likewise, it’s great for fans that would to return to the game that started it all with improved visuals and hopefully gameplay mechanics. Though I never relish the thought of fighting the psychopaths in that pesky jeep!
Capcom are usually very good at keeping cards close to their chests, but hopefully they’ll officially let the cat out of the bag, sooner, rather than later. And when they do, we’ll be here to update you right away.
Dead Rising 4 will release for Xbox One and Windows 10 on December 6th.
