Nintendo Seem to be Hiring for next Legend of Zelda Title

It seems that according to a recent, Nintendo are hiring through Monolith Soft, the team that brought us Xenoblade, are working on the next The Legend of Zelda title, one assumes for the Nintendo Switch.  While it may seem odd that the next Legend of Zelda title isn’t developed in-house, Monolith Soft have previously lent helping hands for Breath of the Wild, A Link Between Worlds and Skyward Sword, so they do have plenty of experience with this beloved series.

The job listings on Monolith Soft’s website asks for artists to work on animation, effects and modelling, game planners for missions, level design, actions and quests.  While they also require a team of programmers to work on environmental maintenance, system and framework programmers, and character control.

It’s also interesting to note that on the job listing page, there is art work for a Hyrule crest that features symbols of three goddesses in the series, Din, Nayru and Farore (thanks for the spot Pixelpar).  It also features another symbol for the Gate of Time, which has featured in Skyward Sword primarily, and it also featured as an Easter Egg in Breath of the Wild.

While we only have snippets of information at this time, it will be interesting to finally see what this new Legend of Zelda game might be.  Will it be a completely new game in the series or could we see a remake of Skyward Sword?  Only time will tell, but we could be in for a long wait, considering jobs are only just being listed.

What do you hope that this game will be?  Let us know across our social media channels.
