Possible Reference To The Last Of Us Found in Uncharted 3 Drake’s Deception
If you have been playing Uncharted 3 recently, on the hunt for trophies or like myself completing the game on hard you may have come across a few Easter egg’s along the way. Now the guys over at Waggle have found an impressive reference. The reference originates from a BBC wildlife film documenting the behavior of the “killer fungi” known as “cordyceps” was posted at www.lastofus.com, a website for a “PS3 exclusive you won’t believe”, that will be revealed during the upcoming Spike TV VGAs.
The possible reference can be found in the Pub near the start of the game, once you fight your way through you can explore the pub freely.
The front page of a fictional newspaper, called “The Overseer”, runs a story with the following headline: “Scientists are still struggling to understand deadly fungus“.
It seems very odd for Naughty Dog to reference this in the game, especially comparing this to the other fake headlines they have come up with they choose one that is closely referring to The Last Of Us?
