Rumour: Red Dead Redemption 2 release date leaked
Thanks to a Danish retailer by the name of Coolshop, they may have just leaked the release date for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 and Xbox One with the listing revealing a date of Friday June 8th, which would hopefully be a worldwide launch. Of course retail listings especially can be taken with a pinch of salt as they often have place holder dates, but the same retailer also leaked the release date of GTA V, which ended up being correct.
It is expected that Red Dead Redemption 2 will release around the half-way point this year, so this leak does make sense in that respect. This date of course only refers to the PS4 and Xbox One versions at this point, with a PC version expected to release sometime later, probably between late 2018 to early 2019.
We’ll keep you updated once we hear more, likely something official from Rockstar Games themselves. However, it is worth noting that Coolshop have changed the date to simply ‘2018’, which might suggest that they’ve been told off by Rockstar and changed the date accordingly. Either way, the apparent leak has no doubt brought some extra traffic their way.
