Rumour: Super Smash Bros. Wii U & 3DS Release Date Revealed?

As with any rumour, you should take this with a pinch of salt, but Examiner found that online retailer, Newegg, updated their Super Smash Bros. 3DS & Wii U listing with a release date of the 16th of May 2014. It seems strange to put such a specific date into the system if it were not true, but of course, with Nintendo still getting to grips with HD development and the previous game in the series, Super Smash Bros. Brawl infamous for its delays, it seems strange that one online retailer knows when the game is going to release when Nintendo themselves probably do not.

This would also mean the game is released on a Friday, which, while not uncommon, seems strange when most big Nintendo games tend to release at the weekend. Additionally, this would mean a launch before E3, which could be the best chance of promotion for the fighting game, which instils more doubt into my mind.
