Crytek, the developer of upcoming Xbox One exclusive Ryse: Son of Rome, have possibly taken a seemingly confident and proactive step by beginning preparations for a sequel to their latest title and naming it Ryse: Knights of England – well, that is if the recent internet rumours can be trusted.

Despite the fact that Ryse: Son of Rome‘s November 22nd release date is still over 2 months away, Gaming Rumours are reporting that the planning stage for the sequel is well underway and the title has already been decided. If the reported name is to be believed then we can assume that the game will differ in era quite vastly from Son of Rome, potentially from 2 centuries up to a millennium apart.

In Ryse, could we be seeing another Assassins Creed-esque franchise on the market which brings historic eras of great importance to the Xbox One? I guess we’ll just have to wait until Crytek respond to these rumours or not.
