In a recent interview with SEGA’s executive vice president of sales Alan Pritchard  has recently confirmed in the latest issue of Game Informer the publisher will release a Dreamcast collection  will be hitting our next gen consoles.  There are no details on what will appear on the collection or what consoles it will be appearing on but we assume it will be very similar to the Sega Megadrive (Genesis US)Collection for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

"The Dreamcast fans are very devoted. You see on eBay people are still buying the games and system. We actually have a Dreamcast collection coming out soon," Pritchard said. "We are looking to bring some of the old Dreamcast games to market digitally and packaged. The titles are still to be announced."

"The Ultimate Genesis Collection did huge numbers on PS3 and 360, so it’s an important part of our business. We’ve already been releasing some Dreamcast games digitally; Crazy Taxi [for one]."

If you have been a bit distant from the digital world of the Xbox Marketplace you have recently missed out on the launches of Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure.

We are hoping to get more information in the near future, keep checking back on the site.
