Mass Effect 3 New Squadmate Arrives Via Twitter

To celebrate his 10,000 Twitter followers, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect Series Casey Hudson gave a little something back to the Twitter community by announcing the first images of new squad member, James Vega that would be displayed on the Mass Effect 3 Twitter account.

While Mr Vega has managed to get himself a shiny new Mass Effect Wiki page, we still know very little about the muscle-bound man other than that he’s an experienced soldier and apparently can’t stay away from fitted t-shirts. Vega will be a part of the squad, but it hasn’t yet been revealed if he is temporary or fully recruitable.

If you’ve been following ME3, you may recognize him as a redesigned version of James Sanders, a character whose name was changed after his existence was revealed early in the development process.

Mass Effect 3 is expected to release on March 6, 2011.
