After the fantastic Ocarina of Time 3DS remake just last month, it’s not long to wait before we get another N64 classic for our shiny systems.

While the game in question may be slightly less known, its impact early in the N64 life cycle is still relevant today, given by the fact that it was the first game to support (and initially bundled with) the Rumble Pak. This little attachment for the N64 Controller was another of Nintendo’s innovations which allowed haptic feedback to the user, ushering in an entirely new way to engage the player in the game, and one still integral to todays modern games.

Now, of course the game itself was such a surprise, offering up fast paced gameplay with some very impressive graphics for the time (not to mention lots of internet memes!) Nowadays the phrase ‘peripheral pack-in’ is a rather negative connotation…Tony Hawk’s Ride anyone? But this game brought Star Fox back in style and with some good vibrations.

Recently announced at Comic-Con 2011, Star Fox 64 3DS will be hitting worldwide on September 9th with added multiplayer and new gyroscope support. Along with this great news for hardcore 3DS fans is some new media! Here are some new screens and a trailer…just because we love you that much!
