Courtesy of NeoGAF user Brotkasten screenshots for the opening moments of The Last of Us: Remastered were posted via his account (who seems to have a copy of the game very early).  For spoiler reasons if you are new to The Last of Us and plan on picking up the PS4 version of the game I would advise NOT TO SCROLL DOWN to look at the images taken directly from game.

The Last of Us: Remastered releases for the PS4 on July 29th in North America and August 1st across Europe.  The re-release which comes with improved visuals at a smooth 1080p 60fps, improved audio, all previously released DLC including Left Behind and more.

The Last of Us: Remastered not only gives returning fans the chance to play a better version of a game already considered to be one of the best games ever, as well as welcoming new fans that jumped from Xbox to Playstation in the dawn of the new generation consoles.

In related news, judging from the screenshots that feature in this article it is clear that a release date embargo has been  broken and some gamers have gotten their mitts on a copy of The Last of Us: Remastered way ahead of schedule, which gives this news even more credibility.  As thanks to an image leak from Gamepur.com, it seems that The Last of Us: Remastered will require a whopping 50GB (minimum) installation.  1TB Hard Drive anyone?
