Square Enix In Profit Again

Square Enix have finished their financial year (2010/2011) in profit thanks to Deus Ex: HR and Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Deus Ex: HR and Final Fantasy XIII-2 managed to raise Square Enix’s Net sales to ¥127 billion, up 2.1% on 2011′s result of ¥125 billion (£94 million).

Even though no spefic sales figures were revealed, Square Enix stated,

The Group’s results were favourable due to increased sales of console games boosted by our major titles, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Final Fantasy XIII-2.

This is excellent news for Square Enix and with their upcoming titles Hitman: Absolution, Sleeping Dogs and hopefully the release of Final Fantasy 14, Square could see profits raise event higher.

Square Enix have also confirmed today that the upcoming Tomb Raider title will be delayed until 2013.
