The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Announced

The Witcher fans everywhere rejoice: a third instalment, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has been officially announced. The biggest difference between this and the previous instalment is that The Witcher 3 will now take place in a fully open world 30 times larger than the second entry, and larger even than the world of Skyrim. Geralt, the titular Witcher, will be able to explore the vast world on horseback or by boat, which may be a necessity with the land allegedly taking 30-40 minutes to traverse. CD Projekt claims that the game will last players  upwards of 100 hours, which is double the length of The Witcher 2. It comes as no surprise then that the game is slated for a 2014 release on PC and all “high-end platforms”, which at this point can be pretty much assumed to mean “next-generation consoles”.
