20 SNES Classic Games Arrive to Nintendo Switch Online Subscription

Expanding on the NES library included in the Nintendo Switch Online subscription, it has been announced at the recent Nintendo Direct event that SNES games will now be coming to the ever expanding library of games.  Starting from today, we’ll gain access to 20 classic games including F-Zero, Star Fox, Super Ghouls’ n Ghosts, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda: A link to the Past and more.

  • Super Mario World
  • Super Mario Kart
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • Super Metroid
  • Stunt Race FX (Available for the first time since its original Super NES release)
  • Kirby’s Dream Land 3
  • Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island
  • Star Fox
  • F-ZERO
  • Pilotwings
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • BRAWL BROTHERS
  • Breath of Fire
  • Demon’s Crest
  • Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics
  • SUPER E.D.F. EARTH DEFENSE FORCE
  • Super Ghouls’ n Ghosts
  • Super Puyo Puyo 2 (Available for the first time in Europe)
  • Super Soccer (Available for the first time since its original Super NES release)
  • Super Tennis (Available for the first time since its original Super NES release)

For compatible games, not only will they have their original multiplayer functions, but those very games will be playable online.  Each of the games will also have a rewind feature, for you know, when we mess up.  It’s certainly a strong line-up of early SNES games which features some genuine classics that are still fantastic even by today’s standards.
