2K is Bringing BioShock, Borderlands and XCOM 2 to the Switch!

2K Games has announced that three of their biggest series’ are coming to the Nintendo Switch this year!  BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands Legendary Collection and XCOM 2 Collection will all release on May 29th.  Each of the collections will come with all previous released DLC, making for three fantastic collections, though Borderlands 3 isn’t coming to the Nintendo Switch, yet.

BioShock: The Collection will come with BioShock Remastered, one of my all-time favourite horror games with the Museum of Orphaned Concepts (a guided gallery game), the Challenge Rooms DLC and Director’s Commentary, with each commentary piece unlocking as you find hidden collectibles during the campaign.

BioShock 2 Remastered, a criminally underrated game in my opinion, will come with the fantastic add-on campaign Minerva’s Den, as well as The Protector Trials (a gauntlet of challenging tasks).  Finally, BioShock Infinite: The Complete Edition comes with the brilliant two-part campaign DLC, Burial at Sea, Clash in the Clouds (combat challenge DLC), as well as the Columbia’s Finest and Early Bird Special DLC packs.

XCOM 2 Collection includes, well, XCOM 2, as well as the War of the Chosen expansion, and four DLC packs, including the Resistance Warrior Pack, Anarchy’s Children, Alien Hunters and Shen’s Last Gift.

Finally, the Borderlands Legendary Collection includes Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.  All three Borderlands games will be playable locally via two-player co-op and up to four players when playing online.

However, the collections at retail will have the games and their DLC split between being on a physical cartridge, with the rest being downloaded, like most retail collections for the Nintendo Switch.

Are you excited by this announcement?  I know that despite playing the BioShock series on multiple platforms over the years, I can’t wait to play them again on the Nintendo Switch!
