Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered officially announced
Following the rumours, Ubisoft has officially announced Assassin’s Creed: Rogue Remastered which will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; it will also take advantage of the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X enhancements. Releasing on March 20th 2018, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue Remastered will include all previously released bonus DLC from the last-gen instalment such as two bonus missions; The Armor of Sir Gunn Quest and The Siege of Fort Sable, as well as the Master Templar and Explorer Packs, which contains weapons and outfits, including a Bayek legacy outfit from Origins.
The remastered version of the game will run at a crisp 1080p on PS4 and Xbox One, upscalled at 4K for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X with rendering, visual effects and texture improvements across all formats.
Assassin’s Creed: Rogue was a rather under-appreciated instalment in terms of sales in my opinion and it was a good game in its own right that had you playing as Shay Patrick Cormac a Templar in 18th century North America with the events taking place before Assassin’s Creed: Unity.
Only time will tell how well this remaster will do, being real, I doubt it will make much of a dent in terms of sales once again, given that it’s been out for a few years already and the Xbox 360 version is also backwards compatible on Xbox One. But at least it will give those who missed it an opportunity to play it again with improved visuals and what not.
